The terrorist parody is at least recognisable as a human being.

    Here’s one Mike:

The family health care tab shows no sign of shrinking. On average, according to the latest Milliman Medical Index (MMI), a family of four covered through a typical employer health plan will pay out $9,144 this year in premiums and out-of-pocket expenses. That’s up about 6.5 percent over 2012, though not as much as the prior year’s increase of 7.2 percent. The 2013 rise translates into slightly more than $45 a month in higher monthly premiums and out-of-pocket expenses.

Not relevant. Stick to the discussion. This is about securing the border, not about healthcare costs.

To the point of the ‘toon, this has always been my biggest issue with a porous border. If you can’t keep people out, then terrorists can get in.

Mikey typically ignores important facts. The big one in this case? NONE of the terrorists who have attacked the US have slipped through an unguarded point in the US – Mexican (or US – Canadian) border.

When Mikey uses the terrorist argument he is using the fear tactic common with sleazy political hacks. Which pretty much describes him.

wmconelly is obviously not very smart so I would just ignore his rants.

As for the border, it’s ridiculous that we are even talking about giving 20 MILLION ILLEGALS a path to citizenship when we have No Clue who is still coming in.

God I love it, hear with the dream deal, 99% of all applicants are being approved. And we can trust in our government to protect us.

“As long as we keep foolishly accepting muslims into our military and within our borders we will remain far more vulnerable than necessary.”

When do you suggest we start building internment camps for Muslims? And do we have enough room at Guantanamo?

IMO the danger is beyond borders.
(we do need authorities to do all possible to try to secure our borders). The British soldier slaughtered yesterday in the suburb of London, 200 yards from the British Artillery Barracks in Woolich, by 2 Nigerians born in England, was a homegrown Jihad terrorist murder. The soldier wore a charity “Help for Heroes” hoodie, and it was 2 pm local time in a sunny day city attack, and it took police 20 minutes to arrive at the scene. This could be happening anyplace in America, especially where populations attend Mosque services with Imams who preach violent Jihad.
    -
Law enforcement and military must stop the Politically Correct “surrender” MO and start identifying sources and followers of radical Jihad, and start keeping tabs on potential murderers instead of keeping tabs on reporters and conservatives using the 1st Amendment in peaceful modes.

If someone wants to be a US citizen, we should be honored to have them.

There have been 37 deaths in the US from terrorism since 2001. Less than from sharks. I would be happy to deny sharks citizenship.

Total deaths to “terrorists” since 2001, hmm, about the same as the number of people killed, EVERY DAY in the U.S. with guns handled by “good old Americans”! Crips and bloods, and hundreds of other gangs in the U.S. kill each other with little regard for bystanders, because they want their “turf” for themselves.

Hmm, sounds about like Ramirez and those pointing their fingers at Muslims, Sikhs, or anyone else not part of THEIR “gang”, ethnic, religious, or “political”.

The biggest flood coming through that “porous” border, is supplying drugs to the U.S. because the “war on drugs” is just as big a waste as the “war on terror”. Much of it comes in by semi-truck through legitimate checkpoints that can’t keep up with the flood. Also, the flood of PRESCRIPTION drugs being illegally sold, because supplies are manufactured far in excess of legitimate quantities, doesn’t get much play, because those “corporate persons” aren’t regulated nearly as strictly as needed.

We do have some serious problems in this country, but “radical Muslims” sneaking across our borders, aren’t really one of them. Fear mongering IS among those most serious problems.
