Diesel electric airplane. The diesel turns a generator which supplies 2400V 3 phase AC to motors that turn the propellers.
The USAF is going to Buy 25 of them from Yugo inc.
    (Or is it Trabant inc.)

I’ll agree to tax increases IF & ONLY IF spending has ALREADY (current spending, not future) been cut by the same amount. Double the pain to double the gain. Let’s get it over with.
I’m good with the pain. I’ve written my congressman & senators with specific examples of things that would hurt me personally that I think they should vote for.

Get rid of the Cold War relics like the F-35 and bill oil companies for middle eastern war instead of paying them taxpayer money to hedge oil reserves.

You know if we make smaller government what we have left is a government that can do the things it needs to do better. Like the FAA & FEMA. How long were people on the East Coast without power again from last winter’s storms?

What ever your political flavor is we should all be incensed. Families all over America are trying to figure out how to do with much less than just 2 % cuts. Neither party cares about the average guy on the street who is writing the checks. Its time for a real change.

Hey, I’ll have you know that 2% is for the upper 1%! We (congress) simply CAN’T cut that!!

Just like Barry shutting down White House tours.

Nothing better than maximum PAIN to the people for daring to demand responsible spending by our government.

The absolutely best part is, 533 people in DC depend on public air transportation go get back to their home districts… I’ll bet the other two, who fly on government aircraft have no problem getting off the ground. I wonder what flavor of cake they are eating.

You’re comments are always redundant. If you want to cut waste fire all the conservatives they only want to work two days a week and twelve weeks a year. ;-)

I’m sure there are more than enough test pilots willing to push the envelope in this aircraft?

Have you studied the F-35’s capabilities or better yet seen them in action?

It’s easier to make deadbeat pseudo-intellectual leftist losers scream about the military being unconstitutional. Never mind defense is in the Constitution. Besides, that fighter plane might come in handy someday. The other flaw in your thinking is that oil and coal can be replaced by green energy, whatever that is. Let’s see, windmills kick out less than 0.02% of the energy required by the country on a windy day. What happens when the wind doesn’t blow. Never mind, global warming is based on pseudo-science. Or is it now the coming ice age, again?

Fire all the useless idiots sitting in government offices thinking up new ways to waste taxpayer money would be a good start. And don’t put them on unemployment, disability, welfare, or any other government handout. Then eliminate all the social programs and the related government workers. Again, no benefits. All these deadbeats stole enough from the taxpayers. They can get real jobs. And if they can’t, they should look in the mirror to find the real problem. Eliminate the Department of Energy as it creates no energy. Wipe out the Department of Education due to being run by idiots who have an interest in graduating students with third grade math, reading, and writing skills. If it isn’t in the Constitution, eliminate it.
