Why do most libs despise enforcing border security?

I like the idea of an impenetrable border fence, but it would be built on the Mason-Dixon line.

Because we understand the Conservatives need cheap labor to mow the lawn, wash the dishes, and care for Grandma in the nursing home.

Agreed. Although I would place the fence further south. My father always said,“Anything north of Nashville is Yankee”. Anyone that eats yellow cornbread with sugar (as opposed to white cornbread made with buttermilk and salt) should be issued a visa when traveling south… with a clearly marked stamp labelled “Yankee Carpet Bagger”.

Borders are a red herring. Controlling who can come or go into this country is nowhere near as important as controlling our runaway budget crisis.

Ramirez has done a perfect job of showing what idiocy the “Bush border fence” was. It screwed up wildlife movements in many areas, but didn’t do squat for stopping illegal drugs and humans crossing. The Boeing fiasco was/is a typical case of “cost plus” contracting gone nuts! The “principle” is okay, but the execution has sucked, principally because the money flows even if it doesn’t work!!
