As opposed to countering their argument, you simply detract from the poster. Well played, King. Well played. (/sarcasm)

What’s missing from this cartoon is two things, all our money pouring into this sewer hole, and all the children that will be killed under it falling in.

If only we had a word for “what we had before Obamacare”. In this same context, the hole would be so large that we could see the sky on the other side of the world.

Again, Obamacare is better than what came before it. Health care threatens to bankrupt the country regardless of its form, but the longer we take to actually find a truly workable solution, the worse the situation will get. Obamacare is a bandage to be used until we come to our senses and properly evaluate, just as raising the debt limit keeps us from insolvency, but does not improve the chances for the future.

It’s easy to poke fun in others’ arguments; not so easy to determine the better answer. But at least with health care, we have what this country needs: two different viewpoints over which to fight (Obamacare and the Ryan plan). The important thing is we can fight between two ideas, and the beauty is that neither one of them has to be the right answer. As long as we can fight among two ideas, there is no need to look for the better answer, which is often the third or fourth one.

We are ranked 33 rd in the world for healthcare but spend more than anyone else per person. Do we really think its going to get better without other reforms? We would have better luck if we believed in the Easter Bunny. Its all greed driven no matter what plan is in place. Until a lot more people actually start taking personal responsibility for their lives we are circling the drain at a increasing rate.

Based on World Health Organizations ratings. France is number one and I think each citizen pays about $2300 a year. I would probably be willing to murder for health care that affordable.

We all know what it pays for, the problem is the cost and there is no way to pay for it, as in Cyprus, Greece, France, Spain and Italy.

Well we did coin it, but Obama did push for this health care deal and it is failing. Far too expensive for what we are getting. Wake up and take care of yourselves people, you want to be a humanitarian. You got to prove you can take care of yourself before you can take care of anyone else.

Also taking care of yourself has a lot of benefits, first you have more and you don’t have to beg, that is good, second you take less resources out of the system for people who truly need those resources. Third you become a supplier through taxes and charities instead of someone who takes from the pool of resources.

I have to complain, cut and pasting a post from another forum does not count as a comment, it is a cut and paste from another fourm and does not belong here.
Second, do you understand wall of text?
Just scrolling past all the cut and paste takes longer than I like. No way is a cut and paste from another forum going to be read, hello? Hello?
A foot of column from a nonmember is annoying and should be removed.
So Indieme, any ideas of your own? and please keep it shorter than the cut and paste if you want it read..

We are ranked 33rd because the study ranked access to care, not quality of care. Measure the latter and you get a significantly different result.

The only “bottomless pit” is the one REPUBLICANS demanded, namely “private insurance companies” in the ACA instead of “single payer”, just as they dug the hole in Medicare by prohibiting negotiating drug prices like VA does.

Corporate profits is the “hole”, and it is “Boehnercare”, not the ACA if it had been properly passed in the HOUSE!

Those “healthcare” rankings are absolutely meaningless. They base it almost solely on whether the government funds it or not. They usually put Cuba ahead of the US. Go spend some time in the Cuban system and see how much you like it.

And why on earth do people think a single-payer system would be better? When has any government program come in at cost, much less under?

A war to thin out the generations would help? Obamacare is our best pan to control costs.
