Quite good. I like the needle stuck in Lance’s helmet.
Remember, Clinton taught us that lying is good.

A lazy strip. Come on Ramirez. I think you’re always wrong, but at least you usually put more effort into it.

Mike’s depiction of Obama has become so stylized all that comes through is the anger. Mike’s anger. Cranking in another subject once in a while might help. How’s about something we can all dislike, Mike? Cancer, say, or maybe mass murder, one ball peen hammer at a time…

Michael – Austerity will not fix our economy, you have to spend money to get everyone back to work. You do want people to get back to work? right?

It depends on who you are. The Rethuglicans don’t want more people back at work for at least four years.

Well, just the facts here. from the founding until 1977 (best list I can find) the US accumulated 706 billion dollars in public held debt.

From 1977 to 1999 the debt grew 5 trillion dollars – a period of time where we had 2 republican and 2 democratic presidents. But we should really be looking at congress starting with the 95th to the 105th specifically the House since all spending bills are by law to be crated in the House (LOL). We find 11 of them 8 of which were democrat majority and the last three being republican majority – you know when Clinton had a so called projected “surplus” that you guys love so much.

So Bush added another 5 trillion (hard to imagine such stupidity) during his 8 years. Yep Operating with 3 republican and 2 democrat houses. The last two being democrat and the time when most of the debt was added.

So the last bit player Obama has already has 16 trillion dollars (an additional 6 trillion over his first term) in debt. According to you and your fellows, NONE of which is his fault. His House?
    Well, one each.

So the comparison you made? Not really true.

4 presidents added 5 trillion over 22 years or about 228 billion a year. 1 president added another 5 trillion (whew bad bad bad) over 8 years or about 625 billion a year. Now The current dude added another 5 trillion or so (giving him a break here) over 4 years or about 1.25 trillion a year.

Bush;s record? BAD. Obama’s record? WORSE.

So as you say, I guess deficits and massive wasteful spending under “democrat” rule is OK.

Living in denial is a horrible thing, living in denial when you are president of the United States and a lot of people are vested in that denial is scary.

So our health insurance is going up to pay for all the Barrack Freeloaders and our paychecks(if your lucky to have one) will be smaller.

Lots of reasons to spend over a $170,000,000 of our money to “celebrate” tomorrow.

Almost everything you have pointed out, I agree with. Consider these thoughts:
“… economists, those that are not beholden to a political party agree that deficit spending during a recession is essential…” Most Economists have been wrong, year after year, for over 5 years. The few that were right were ignored. Today, the smartest deficit spending is to Welfare, Unemployment, and Food Stamps. Most of the Pork, including the Stimulus, gives the economy very little bang for the buck. Until we realize that the economy could totally collapse into the Second Great Depression, there will be no significant diversion of Federal resources to engineer 20 million new, permanent jobs.

I don’t see why you have to be so hateful, but whatever.

I got my information from the the treasury, the CBO, the IRS and several other websites that list congress makeup during presidential terms. I agree that Bush was a out of control spender. But trying to justify Obama’s out of control spending
because of Bush is ludicrous. Each president as he comes into office assumes the “budget” of his predecessor As Bush came into office he wasted a good opportunity to solidify what the republican congress had managed to produce in the way of spending. Then the “war” effort, supported by and voted for by congress and the majority of people at that time cost a lot as well. All money wasted.

But since it’s Obama that continued the course set by Bush, since it’s Obama that signed the extension of the Bush tax cuts into law, since it’s Obama that says we need to spend more borrow more (and by the way the recession ended in June 2009 according to Obama) it all just fine and dandy.

Quit being what you say I am. Hold your hero accountable .
