Oh dear! The President does not make the budget. The Constitution says that every budgetary measure has to originate in the House. The Sequester is law, and unless the House picks it up again there will be cuts. I don’t see the President in that at all, and even John Boehner said that “God only knows” what will come next.

But it’s understandable: by talking with the President the GOP can put the blame on him and at the same time dis Nancy Pelosi. Now they’re trying the same game with Harry Reid. Like we were stupid and didn’t know what they are doing. They want to go over the cliff, they can never, ever break the Norquist-pledge. They just need a scapegoat, any scapegoat. Pathetic!

Of course, Obama already HAS cut spending, but that little fact is overlooked as it doesn’t match the Conservatives’ narrative.

@MortyForTyrant
Morty, dig a little deeper. The president “suggests” a budget he want’s to see and it’s processed through congress. His “cuts” in perusing his 2013 adds up to roughly 1.1 billion dollars. Be-still my heart! It should only take a couple of centuries to balance the budget with those budget cuts. Obama hasn’t delivered a budget in his first term that congress would even act on, including his own party in control for 2 years. Neither the republicans or the democrats are serious about balanced budgets. Every administration from Carter to present has increased government spending and grown the size and control of government.

Get rid of the foreign aid to China and all the Mideast countries, Pakistan, Egypt, etc. Stop all the silly things like shrimp on treadmills. Cut the bureacucies – 40 or so doing the same thing. How stupid!
