    Mikey is at it again. He’d be more interesting if his cartoons had some basis in reality.

    Ha. Ha. Ha. Very funny. Does Ramirez really believe the drivel he is drawing? I believe it’s called “systematic delusions”, but I’m not a doctor…

    It’s pandering to a base. In this case, without proper support.

    If ramirez wanted to show something somewhat within reality, shouldn’t he have put the elephant building part of a bridge across the gap, not reaching across. But the gop is not publicly doing either, so a mute point.

    1opinion, that is “MOOT” point, not “mute”. A common error, but an error nonetheless.

    No doubt, the Obamanation’s offer was a worse than a joke.

    I’ve got it! We’ll set up a smoke screen to focus only on taxes, so no one will remember that we have to cut spending! That work for you guys?

    In this instance, mute is the word that is appropriate.

    I have yet to hear 1 Dem cut besides cutting off money to our troops.

    Obama finally got smart and quit negotiating against himself. Let the Republicans spell out the cuts they want. Make it clear that vague promises to “put revenue on the table”, must include a higher tax rate on the top bracket.

    Maybe some of you don’t know this, but the House is actually responsible for working out a budget, not the President. The GOP still think they can hold out on taxes.

    Pull your fingers out of your ears or off of your eyes or… whatever.

    Fiscal Year 2013 – Cuts, Consolidations and Savings

    The Democrats have proposed cuts that the Republicans don’t like or think are insufficient. They haven’t countered in substance. They are more focused on the tax rate issue, which very few support them on.

    If the elephant built a bridge that would be more practical then trying to fall into the chasam.

    @uncle joe,
    the frame is inaccurate. no one wants to put a higher tax on the higher bracket, they want to put the SAME tax on the higher bracket than the lower brackets pay.

    The dems start with accepting the framework the republicans invent we will all lose.
