"Editorial cartoons should be smart and substantive, provocative and informative. They should stir passions and deep emotions. Editorial cartoons should be the catalyst for thought, and frankly speaking, if you can make politicians think, that is an accomplishment in itself."

Let see how do you evacuate the troops from a place like Afghanistan. All I know I don’t want to be on the last plane out. When the defense perimeter falls, those last couple of C130s are going to be in a tight spot. Hope they have a bunch of B52 for air support.

Get our troops the heck out of there! The mission needs to be scrubbed. It has no direction or means of accomplishing anything. Forget the Afghans. Just write them off before we keep pushing more American caskets home. We should not continue to escalate our commitment to a war that President Obama and his policies has driven into the mire.

We can use Nixon’s “Secret Plan”. Declare victory and run away, pushing people off the last helicopter as we go. Will work just as well now as then.

As opposed to Romney’s Afghanistan policy, which is to send a bunch of troops back in. The result will be the same for Afghanistan, but with more loss to the U.S. Better put a few more graves up there Ramirez.

Administrative policies that are hamstringing the Afghanistan campaign: not allowed to shoot weapons; not allowed to defend self until after attacked; focus on nation building; training people who turn the weapons you given them on you; not allowed to anger natives by acting American; force troops to go through enemy sensitivity training; not allowed to win.

Start a war, then run away when they fight back.

The Bush war destroyed the whole forest, when he only needed to pull a few weeds. Then he quit before he started the real job, to burn down another forest. Now there are more weeds than we started with, and those who screwed up (there were many) have retreated from the scene.
Sometimes the best thing to do is leave the forest completely, and let the “natives” take it back.

Not to mention the 4200+ American soldiers, unknown numbers of contractors, Iraqi civilians, the incurred deficits, and the added hatred of the U.S. gifted by the Iraqi invasion.

Yet Willard wanted us to remain in Iraq and wants us to remain in Afghanistan.
