    There IS left-leaning media (MSNBC). There IS right-leaning media (Fox). But not ALL media is biased. On CBS comment boards I often read that they are lefties, communists and what have you. But I can’t find that in their reporting. So I have to assume that someone somewhere has an interest in painting CBS, CNN – heck, everybody but Fox – to be left in order to FORCE them to become right-leaning. That’s a mean game and I can only hope the U.S. public doesn’t fall for it. I for one am warned and have my eye on a broader set of outlets, reaching from Al-Jazerra over MSNBC, BBC, CBS to finally Fox and Drudge (but only a quick glance, I can’t stand these people…).

    Let’s look at some facts. The reason the press is jumping on Mitt is because he is giving them the opportunity. His latest intelligent statement was to complain the windows in airplanes don’t go down. http://news.yahoo.com/why-plane-windows-dont-roll-down-romney-221323006.html Now it may have been an attempt at humor, in which case he needs a professional joke writer. Or is that Ryan’s role?

    Of course the media is liberal. If it were up to the conservatives, there would be no media. The basic concept of making information widely available runs directly contrary to their interests.
    Even if the news presented is 100% objective, It’s in the conservative’s best interests to keep their voters ignorant enough to vote against their own interests. (Unless the household income is $250,000+, in which case, they hardly need to be informed. ‘Tax cuts for the rich’ is all they need to know)

    @Himari Noihara

    When “tax cuts for everybody” is translated by a slobbering media for an uneducated populace into “tax cuts for the rich”, THAT’S all you need to know.

    Well, Rachel Maddow said it best: either he doesn’t know about aircrafts and has never seen “Goldfinger” or he just made a terrible joke with his wife (who was in trouble) standing a few feet from him. Either way it reinforces the image of Mitt Romney as “not being totally human”…

    Mitt’s doing a fine job tackling himself. He doesn’t need any help.

    The only bad call made was Mitt’s mouth saying things off script. Dude really needs a teleprompter with him all the time.

    Excellent response! I really liked all the examples you cited. You really demolished that argument!
