   Good idea for a toon but confusing. Batman is trying to stop the decline of Western Civ. It’s liberals claiming life is meaningless and so just let the State take care of you, paid for by someone else.

   ABC News lost no time trying to spin this tragedy to bolster their own political agenda. The only problem was, their report that the killer was linked to the Tea Party was untrue, a fabrication, a lie. And this is suprising to who? You cannot at the same time be a liberal and an honest person.

   Ok if that is true then how is a bullet in the head of a 9 year old any different then vacuuming out a fetus or bring the head out and drilling into the head to destroy the brain. How is this creep any different then what abortion providers do?

   It is not that the liberals are dishonest there thinking comes from their feelings. It makes them feel good to give to the poor. So much now 1/2 of all Americans are on some form of aid. Yes we should give but not so much that it makes all of us poorer both in finance and the soul.
   
   The right we think more with our heads. We look to Jefferson and Madison then to William F. Buckley and George Will and Charles Krauthammer in the modern day.
   
   Liberals they look to Marx failed, and Saul Alinsky. The second of which a lot don’t even know who he is.

   Michael Ramirez has no bigger fan than me, but – outside of simply mourning – it’s too soon to make a cartoon which has much of importance to say about this shooting, because we know almost nothing about the shooter.

   Place the blame on the PERSON who used the gun. Not the gun or anyone else. Just the one who commited this crime.
   The gun did not drive itself to the theatre, nor did it squeeze its own trigger.
   AS for the media. They are acting as tho this horror was done for their benifit.
   And then, maybe it was.
   My prayers go out to all those killed and injured & to their families.
   May God be with you.

    It would be easy to change the second amendment it is harder to change us. Still I would take the hardship on any given day.l

    I agree with you, Farley. However, looking around this site and comparing editorial cartoons on the subject, this one is at least attempting to make some comment of depth, and even if it is not quite apt or appropriate (and I have some reservations about whether it is) as a stand alone piece it is quite remarkable.

    It is sad at the lack of ethics Runnels displays.

    You see he uses this terrible tragedy as a crass political opportunity to push forward his agenda on control. It reflects a certain selfishness. Today I gave blood to the red cross I asked if it will help free up blood for the victims. They have a sophisticated inventory control system that will allow them to quickly provide more of my blood to the area.
    .
    I suggest everyone else do the same.
    .
    Pick another time to argue and worry about gun control Runnel, there are more important things out there.

    Truth is now is the right time. We have seen in the past what these kids are made of and Ramirez is right on. They are all dysfunctional loners.
