That is about right. Hey did you know if a small plane, goes down I mean a single engine Cessna, the lawyers will try to sue Cessna no matter how old it is. It is true. Might have been rebuilt three or four times every 10 years by law and they sue the manufacture. The plane could be rebuilt by a small aircraft mechanic shop, at some small airfield, with nothing more then Cessna Certified mechanics and they sue Cessna.

^ Didn’t you know? Duct Tape and Popsicle sticks qualify as certified repairs. :P

That’s why a majority of the wealthy in this country are blood-sucking leech attorneys.

The Community Organizer’s lectures appeal to the uberintellectuals and the intellectually challenged.

^ Because they think government knows better than the parents on how to raise kids. In addition, the feds never were supposed to be in charge of education; it was the states who are supposed to have that power. Anything the federal government touches turns to a shiny turd.

That’s cuz you Regressives keep screwing it up. The federal government funded public education until Reagan hit the scene and started making a mess of the public education system. Then War Shrub enacted No Child Left Behind. If anything its you’s guys whose messing wit the education system and then blame liberals for why yo kids stupid.

One problem no body stopped funding federal education. We spend more then China and India combined with their 2.3 billion people. We spend more then Germany and England per-student and all four countries are kicking are a$$ in this area. Money will not fix this problem money is the problem. Unions take most of money, spend it on their salaries, and benefits why is that so hard to understand.

The left panel does depict jobs paid for by taxpayers to make up for the deductions and subsidies those corporations got, and the write off of the cost of the jet in just five years. Even Ramirez doesn’t seem to realize the real shaft he’s getting is marked “made by Corporate America”.

Corporations won’t stop using private planes even if they lose the tax deduction that has benefited them. Ergo, this cartoon is misleading.

@ossiningaling: How is it misleading. The ‘toon shows that the manufacture, sales, maintenance and operation of corporate jets produce JOBS. While I have no problem with elimination of tax loopholes or tax subsidies – for ALL industries – the job creation facts do favor business over government. What kind of jobs did Obama create? Government jobs. What do they produce? A tax burden. What kind of jobs does the private sector create? And what do they produce? don’t know? Look at the ’toon again.

^ Meaning it’s not just Bush’s fault. Don’t try pinning this problem on one side of the aisle without acknowledging the other side’s contribution to the problem. To do otherwise is to belie your true intentions of defaming one party because of your blind devotion to the other’s tenants.

    ^^ Excellent point.

^ That’s always the hard part though. You don’t see the results of a successful education until 10 years down the road. Job placement, goals vs. achievements, and employment… all these things don’t have finite measuring tools. So unfortunately, it has to be about the tests because that’s the only “now” answer we can gather.
