^ Exactly, a right-wing religious extremist. Hmmm, sounds familiar to something we have here…

^ There is a couple problems with your quip Pirate… and technically Radish too.

First, the article never said “right-wing religious extremist”. It did say, “religious extremist” though. So you falsified details for your personal benefit. If that’s not a “lie,” then it is at least intellectual dishonesty.

Secondly, European, Asian, African, etc., politics are quite different than our own. Most self-declared “conservative” political groups share only parts with Americas. They are generally more of the JFK Liberal ilk. And many liberal groups only share bits with American liberalism. Furthermore, these Pakistani extremists do not describe themselves as conservative nor right-wing, nor were they described as such.

Thirdly, since it is America’s right-wing that desires to fight terrorism and call it what it is, even in the cases that it’s Islamic terrorism, and the “terrorists” are the ones described as “religious extremists” and are the guilty party in the assassination… then how consistent or reasonable would it be for the American right-wing to be fighting, dare say targeting, their equal counterparts in Pakistan? It wouldn’t be consistent and it wouldn’t make sense. It’s because there are little to no similarities between the two. One of America’s conservative values is fighting evil. Terrorism is evil.

But truth stinks and so does the effort into understanding any one group’s values and ideology, let alone many, and/or be able to draw comparisons.

    DJ, your “logic” is twisted.

Let me spell this out for you, religious extremist in this country are almost always conservatives. You know, they wish for the good old days.

The Muslim religious extremists want to bring back the golden age of Islam, to have another great caliphate.

These two extremes are diametrically opposed to each other because they both want the same thing, to control everyone else.

You can’t have two masters and that’s why they are natural enemies.

    You’re welcome.
