Two-time Pulitzer Prize winner Michael Ramirez combines an encyclopedic knowledge of the news with a captivating drawing style to create consistently outstanding editorial cartoons.
"Editorial cartoons should be smart and substantive, provocative and informative. They should stir passions and deep emotions. Editorial cartoons should be the catalyst for thought, and frankly speaking, if you can make politicians think, that is an accomplishment in itself."

0bama, the nemesis within!!!
No foreign power could have devised a more diabolical anti-American scheme than this one.
And the whole thing is built on a foundation of lies and deceit that makes it sound as if it were the best thing since the Declaration of Independence.

“Oreo” is a racial slur, “Subhuman;” back off.

Just search on “EPA May Have Suppressed Anti-Global Warming Study”. These people are anti-human.

The humor in this cartoon is the dig Ramirez takes at the media’s absurd weepfest over the sideshow freak going to his reward.

Of all the racist comments in this forum, yours is the most poison - astonishing - concerned? - what a pathetic pretence; human - even worse. If this forum is a microcosm of humanity, I’m afraid for us.

The funny thing is that the racial slur ‘oreo’ is being used by blacks on blacks, accusing them of acting ‘too-white’. As in black on the outside, but white on the inside …
Gladius said, 4 months ago
It’s not funny. There is a lot of internal racism in parts of the black community. I taight at a middle school for a bit where there was a wave of discrimination against black students based on how light their skin was. This had nothing to do with the white students at the school.

Tribal and “racial” groups since the beginning of time have given themselves their name for “people” or “human” if you will, and all others are named as “enemies” or “sub-human”. Bigotry exists in ALL cultures against “others”. Black ants attack red ants, and vice-versa. Rising ABOVE that behavior is what makes us truly “human” and “intelligent”.

Can you imagine if a conservative had made these comments? First they would have been roundly condemned (and rightly so). Then there would have been a round of “all republicans are racist!”, followed by being flagged and ultimately removed from the forum.
But libs get away with this stuff all the time, so there’s no news here…

Colin Powell - now that is a racist! He endorsed 0bama over his friend McCain solely on the basis of race, and now he is decrying his policies of government omnipotence and spending us into oblivion … What did he expect?!?
DrCanuck said, 4 months ago
Church’, Concerned Subhuman may be a leftist but he is no liberal. Please do not dignify him with such a title. No liberal has defended nor would defend his tripe.
parkersinthehouse said, 4 months ago
In my opinion, intelligent, intellectual political brilliance is lost on those who think those decisions are made on such a shallow level as skin color. It seems like you are stopped in your tracks bellowing racist poison and are unable to progress to sane and balanced thought. Btw, the quote is not from Colin Powell.

I’m surprised that someone with” human” in his/her monicker stoops to racist remarks. So, s/he is a “Concerned” human while there are apparently other less than equal humans, too.
I doubt the concern then.
I see most of the posters here have condemned CH so I don’t quite understand churchillwasright’s whine that only racist Republicans get criticised for being so. Oh boohoo.
I agree with DrC and second Parker.
churchillwasright said, 4 months ago
OMQ (and others) After re-reading the posts, s/he was condemned, and I apologize.
Nevertheless, there was a poster here who said something along the line of… well, it was a Don Imus quote. That person lost his privileges (that’s my take on it anyway). That won’t happen here, not that I think it should.
DR. SHAMUCK: “No liberal has defended nor would defend his tripe.”
So you don’t like my equating liberals with a leftist nut? Funny, but when some nut kills an abortionist, you have no problems with labeling all conservatives/republicans hate mongers.
DrCanuck said, 4 months ago
I have never labelled republicans as conservatives, and I have never labelled either as hate mongers. I do not stereotype people or engage in such simplistic thought; I treat each as an individual.
Can you discrimimate between “some conservatives are hate mongers” and “all conservatives are hate mongers”? I can and do. My perceptions are far more nuanced than YOUR dichotomous simplifications.
churchillwasright said, 4 months ago
DR SHAMUCK: OK, I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt. Instead of saying “you have no problem with labeling all conservatives/republicans race mongers” perhaps I should have said “you have no problem with OTHERS labeling all conservatives/republicans hate mongers”. Those posts are here all the time, yet you’ve never jumped on them like you did me. Is this a double standard of yours because this was a criticism of liberals and not conservatives, or because when you read them, you are sitting there shaking your head up and down?
How’s that for a nuanced perception?
DrCanuck said, 4 months ago
church’, that was a fair criticism. While I dislike most generalizations, I may well be be more or less sensitive to them depending on which side is making them.
(but that’s the way the game is played on these blogs!)
