I feel for Lila. In the world of Skyrim, I too am a powerful, beautiful person. Of course as is the case with her shoes, it’s all just a fantasy.

You’re a powerful and beautiful person in the real world, too, Andrew T. Don’t forget that!

Funny my wife stopped buying shoes right after we started dating, so I guess there is something here. On the other hand, she is fanatical about not paying credit card interest, so no.

I have a solution for Lila. My wife does this sometimes.
She shops at the most expensive stores in town. She buys and buys and buys, until she feels better. She spends a ton of money.
The next week, she takes it all back for a refund!

I am neither in this world. One can’t all be powerful and beautiful. The best I can be is true to myself and seek to understand who and what I am, nothing more.

I have seen that scenario played out in several comedies.

My wife has a closet full of nothing to wear. I always end up paying the credit card bills with her new wardrobe every month.

Getting a hobby has really helped in reducing the amount of time I can use to shop!

Picasso was powerful. The Man was a louse, but His Works were occasionally beautiful. Paradox? Irony? Not really beautiful? If so, why not?
