Maybe a nice boy will come and pull Lila’s hair.

Sorry, I’m a major non-fan of Valentine’s Day, which I feel is the most anti-romantic day of the year.
Unless a woman gives me a card, of course.

Me and my honey refuse to buy anything related to valentines day. We don’t feel that one day should be any more special to show our love to each other. I’d much rather have the “Surprise! I got this just cause I love you” on some random day than the “it’s Vday the shoppe was nuts so I ended up with this.”

Great! I’m going out on V-day to do just that!

    Lila,
    Get.
    A.
    Life.
    Seriously.

I think the candy heart hurling is overkill. When do we get back to the present where she has a daughter?

There really is no present; Mr. Forgetta has discontinued Lila for economic reasons, though he still adds new dialog to older drawings for the benefit of his stalwart readers.

Geese, we really need a faq.

Valentine’s Day has never been important to me as a child, teenager or adult.

I believe that for once the person saying this did understand the situation and was only asking how far away the Annie strips were in the future, not asking “where’s Annie?” like some of the people who never read comments seem to do.

Yes, overkill. So is your dismissal of her statement as “you must be a sappy over romantic woman who doesn’t understand humor.”

There is nothing humorous about a spoil sport assaulting people with candy because they are not into the holiday. Really – do you also go around throwing candy corn at little kids trick or treating?

Heck, I used to surprise my hubby with a special card any day of the year. He worked out of the house and didn’t get around to the shops the way I could from work.

Drew doesn’t look enthused about it.
