It’s not misogyny. She’s speaking about Lila not being likely to cure cancer, not women in general being unlikely to cure cancer.

I’ll bet Lila could meet a Cancer. Does that help?

Lila is more likely to give them something they need to cure.

Alas … Unless Forgetta and ‘Rose’ are able to continue the strip some day, Lila won’t be able to either.

When my favorite neice was young, she was into Barbie dolls. For the Holidays I went to a toy store to buy her a Barbie set. There was “beach party Barbie”, “ski Barbie”, “vacation Barbie”, and other stereotypes all prominently featuring her dependance on Ken. I was hoping to find “Barbie’s law office” or “Barbie’s medical research lab” but no luck. I finally settled on “college Barbie” though it seemed set up more for a dorm party than serious study and featured a framed picture of Ken next to her bed. Are the major toy manufacturers ever going to join the 21st century?
    .
I am happy to report, though, that my niece is now a dean’s list student at a highly regarded university and has plans to go to law school. Maybe somehow I did get through to her.

Oops, I just discovered several spelling errors, and the “edit” feature is no longer here. I have to hope that my niece learned to spell better than I did. :-)

But doesn’t Lila HAVE a child?

Sadly, not any more. Unfortunately John had to abruptly end the strip. What we are seeing now are repeats from quite a while before Annie entered the picture.

You did good! Our daughter played with dolls, did the cheerleader and sorority thing and IS a lawyer in a prestigious law firm. We’re very proud of her and our son, too.

We have way too many lawyers for too long. Wish she was becoming an engineer. We have produced too few for too long.

i missed that notice that the artist stoped the strips new material – was any reason given? these did seem a bit old and stale – but still I do like Lila material

I’ve never seen an edit feature since I got on this site after it sucked up Uclick. You’ve only been able to delete and repost (much as I did after realizing I forgot half of what I wanted to say here).

Well you must have been missing for some weeks. He said he is too short of money to hire the artists to draw them for him. It is a question of money.
