   Peggy is ‘wasted’ on the hormones and/or other bio chemicals of maternity. Lila just doesn’t want to hear about the grandness of being a mother.

    Lila, Peggy is drunk on pregnancy hormones. She is also high on motherhood, for it is an irrefutable fact that she has—to borrow a sports phrase—turned in her amateur status and gone pro.
