   Would you call the Jonas Brothers gay for preserving their virginity? Apparently yes!

   Why do you men hold different standards for men and women? Why can’t men hold on to their virginity? Why can’t any of you understand that real men are men who can assume responsibility for their actions? Why are you so incapable of understanding that real men are men who have the responsibility to provide for their families financially, physically, and emotionally? Why are you unable to understand that real men are men who can keep jobs, be good dads and husbands, and not wreck their lives? Are you too stupid to see that a long history of sexual partners and the ability to hold one’s liquor do not make a man a real man?

   Why is it that you do not understand that there are men who respect women?

   And JWF, why don’t you bother trying to make something real? (AND DON’T SAY I SOUND LIKE DREW, OKAY? SHE’S THE MOST SENSIBLE CHARACTER IN THIS STRIP!)

   I am about 51% that last two have already lost their since the oldest one is married.

   She should have asked the next question:
   “What kind of physical relationship do you want to have after we are married?” And so on.
   The answer to that line of questioning should give her a better idea whether their expectations are compatible.

   Believe me, Randy… that would NOT settle the question…
   
   I’ve known some conflicted young men for whom “wanting to have” and actually “having” a sexual relationship with a woman were not the same thing, no matter how many pep talks they gave themselves and their prospective partners.
   
   Sadly, some people are unable to accept themselves for what they are, and push themselves to be whatever they think Mom or God or society wants.
   
   Sad, too, for the partner who doesn’t figure out that he or she will never get what’s been hopefully promised.

   Poor Lila – any form of rejection hurts. She has needs, and it would be a great shame if Matthew’s did not correspond with hers. He presumably wouldn’t buy a car without taking it out for a test drive, so he’s missing a golden opportunity. Has he even kissed her properly?

    Waiting for marriage does not make one gay. Old fashioned, perhaps (Guilty), but not necessarily gay. Some of us want a wedding that truly marks the start of a new life together – instead of being just an empty formality after months (years!) of “playing house”.
