Once again… If you want to reduce the numbers of illegals, prosecute the businesses and individuals who hire them.

They will never do that. They like it better that the illegals are weak and needing work and have no power base to improve their lot. Also it knocks pay down too. Also a win in their way of thinking.

hes a two faced hypocrite? If he was a democrat espousing the same things he is now. People would line up and cheer him on. Except for republicans

Cinco de Mayo is a funny holiday. What it represents to Mexicans is commemoration of a rare military victory (against the French at Puebla in 1862). It really is a day when Americans celebrate Mexican food and tequila.

Many gringos mistake it for Mexican independence day, which is 16 de Septiembre—which is a much more zealously celebrated holiday south of the border. But since it comes conveniently at a time when people are ready for frozen margaritas following the long winter, I’ll just say “¡Viva México! La tierra de mi madre y mis abuelos y bisabuelos.”

Money DOES get taxed. Even illegals pay taxes.

Right now, legal immigrants have better health care than I do.
And I paid into the system for 40 years.

They pay about 1 TENTH of the taxes we do.

They Sometimes pay sales tax. That’s it!

I say let them stay as permanent non-citizen, tax-paying workers if they want. If they commit a crime, kick them out!

If they don’t like it, they can leave and apply for citizenship like everybody else!

No one IS Illegal, They are undocumented workers. They pay more taxes than sales tax. Many were brought here as babies. they consider This their home. Every minority had to go thru this you know.
The Irish were not welcome. The Germans were not wanted. The Italians were not wanted, The Jewish, the Cuban, the polish, you name it, if it were not White Anglo-Saxon-protestant, AKA as WASP’s then you were not wanted.
And THEY Decimated the Native Ameicans. There were 10X more Natives over this continent than there were after we did our stupid “Manifest Destiny”. Even in grade-school I thought that was an egomaniac idea.

WELCOME to the land of the-snerk

Why, oh why, can’t GOP ‘self-deport’. Back to the dark ages where they wish to take the rest of us.

Why marry the elephant when you can get the margaritas for free?

Information shows that illegals pay more in taxes and get nothing back. Plus they pay the usual taxes like sales that everyone else does. You can’t get away from that.

Unfortunately it was NAFTA and GATT that enabled the US corps to devastate the Mexican corn crops that lead to a tripling of immigration for work from Mexico to Texas and beyond. So did the GMO infection of Monsanto that mysteriously hit all of Mexico including their secluded seed crops of original maize back in 2002.

If the Republicans weren’t so anti-non-white, they’d be able to attract a fairly large amount of the devout Catholic Hispanics who tend to be more socially conservative. But no one really wants to vote for people who think they’re beneath them (other than conservative women…their very existence baffles me).
