Any predictions on how much longer it takes the GOP to destroy the economy completely? It could be about ten days. They are intent on doing that.

Reeps care nothing for this country. The rich are leaving to avoid a few bucks in higher taxes which they can easily afford and the Republicants are carrying their bags to the yachts for them.

The whole ‘crises’ was manufactured by the right wing.
Hopefully the public will vote them out.

I always knew politics had it’s ups and downs, but this is ridiculous!

The debt ceiling is what has already been spent. Republicans want us to fail so that their Plutocrat buddies can take over full control and give us the Ayn Rand Utopia they want. The Second Gilded Age is here but not at its best yet.

If the sequestration crises is going to happen, then why is gold going down?
.
It looks to me as if the “angry white haired white male” contingent is leaving the party.
.
And why is the stock market going up? Those white haired white males are done being pessimistic and are now joining the ranks of the optimists.
.
Pessimists are the ones that always want to go backwards (con) and optimists are the ones that look forward (pro).
.
Foget trying to glom onto the latino vote. You’re losing credibility with your core constitutncy!
.
Be afraid! Be VERY afraid!
.
What you have to fear is fearlessness itself!

What is it about empirical evidence you wingers can’t accept? t was the Republicans who created the law, in exchange for not destroying the economy until (possibly) later.

We are getting tired of this excess DRAMA! We have had brinkmanship 7 times in the last 2-3 years. A big majority of even republicans would rather that the top 1% pay at the same rate as everyone else. Those with money make the rules but up until the last 40 or so years the rich WANTed to help keep our country in good shape. endowments, philanthropy, at least keeping the infrastructure in good condition. Now they want it all and they want it now, and try to make the poor, the disabled and the old, just disappear. But they also are doing it to kids! 40% of all kids live in poverty!

LOL!!! Destroy the country!!!! Destroy the country!!!! Don’t ever let a good crisis go to waste. Is this how O is more flexible to the Russians?
Night-Gaunt49 said, 3 months ago
@Ms. Ima
Just Obama being a good little Disaster Capitalist just like the Republicans who want to say the country low so that it could be handed over to the 1% to “save us.” Just fascism waiting in the wings to get power.

Yep all the hype and all the lies. It just takes time to see the truth. Sooner or later it will come out. Take for instance the AHCA that one person said must be passed before you would know what was in it. Remember how the “death panels” thing was such a big lie and would never ever be a part of any program that he government would run? Why every economic pundit said it and those that dared say there was a path in that direction…well.
Here’s your favorite guy Krugman:
The year 2025, the year 2030, something is going to have to give,” he added. “We’re going to need more revenue … Surely it will require some sort of middle class taxes as well.”
“We won’t be able to pay for the kind of government the society will want without some increase in taxes … on the middle class, maybe a value added tax.”
“And we’re also going to have to make decisions about health care, doc pay for health care that has no demonstrated medical benefits. So the snarky version, which I shouldn’t even say because it will get me in trouble, is death panels and sales taxes is how we do this.”

Yep, just a little trip to the future and what “may” have to be done….LOL

Howie, the sequester was “98% of what we wanted” from John Boehner, and the Republicans are the ones blocking a solution. It’s not Obama. You can’t blame the hostage situation on the victim.
