Any predictions on how much longer it takes the GOP to destroy the economy completely? It could be about ten days. They are intent on doing that.

Reeps care nothing for this country. The rich are leaving to avoid a few bucks in higher taxes which they can easily afford and the Republicants are carrying their bags to the yachts for them.

What is it about empirical evidence you wingers can’t accept? t was the Republicans who created the law, in exchange for not destroying the economy until (possibly) later.

We are getting tired of this excess DRAMA! We have had brinkmanship 7 times in the last 2-3 years. A big majority of even republicans would rather that the top 1% pay at the same rate as everyone else. Those with money make the rules but up until the last 40 or so years the rich WANTed to help keep our country in good shape. endowments, philanthropy, at least keeping the infrastructure in good condition. Now they want it all and they want it now, and try to make the poor, the disabled and the old, just disappear. But they also are doing it to kids! 40% of all kids live in poverty!

Yep all the hype and all the lies. It just takes time to see the truth. Sooner or later it will come out. Take for instance the AHCA that one person said must be passed before you would know what was in it. Remember how the “death panels” thing was such a big lie and would never ever be a part of any program that he government would run? Why every economic pundit said it and those that dared say there was a path in that direction…well.

    Here’s your favorite guy Krugman:

The year 2025, the year 2030, something is going to have to give,” he added. “We’re going to need more revenue … Surely it will require some sort of middle class taxes as well.”

“We won’t be able to pay for the kind of government the society will want without some increase in taxes … on the middle class, maybe a value added tax.”

“And we’re also going to have to make decisions about health care, doc pay for health care that has no demonstrated medical benefits. So the snarky version, which I shouldn’t even say because it will get me in trouble, is death panels and sales taxes is how we do this.”

Yep, just a little trip to the future and what “may” have to be done….LOL

Howie, the sequester was “98% of what we wanted” from John Boehner, and the Republicans are the ones blocking a solution. It’s not Obama. You can’t blame the hostage situation on the victim.

“You can’t blame the hostage situation on the victim…”
You certainly can if you have Fox News and right-wing radio to repeat the lies for an audience who listens to nothing else.

Oh wait a second. With all the demand for references how about you take a chance and show some proof, like say the same article from another source that says something different. Like this:

OOPS! Nope says the same thing, and it isn’t Beck!

So ahab, did Krugman say it or not? Yes he did. Did Beck LIE about it or not? No he didn’t.

“Sheessh (your comment) is worthless crap!”

Dude, I didn’t listen to Beck’s rant, I listened to the video of Krugman’s speech.

Yeah, Krugman did indeed indicate that he thought some people would equate panels fixing prices and doing cost benefit analysis with a persons life with a “death panel” and that you would be just CRAZY to do that.

So, Beck said that he was “joking” when he said it. But say it he did and yes I am one that thnks someone sitting on a panel deciding if it is cost effective to treat my illness or not could be refered to as a “death” panel.

But by all means, limit your knowledge of the world by restricting your view point to only a few other opinions and make sure that those opinions always with out fail reflect only what YOU personally believe to be true regarless of the facts involved.

Wow, Obummer invented the sequester in 2011, and states he will veto any attempt to stop them. NOW it is the Republicans fault. You are the uninformed.

I fail to see your point. Do you mean you are willing to trade a system that marginally works for the person at the request of the person charging you a fee for every item you want so you can choose what level of coverage YOU want for one where the government decides how much coverage you “must” have and how much you “must” pay via a fine or a tax and will STILL regulate which treatments will be given to which patient but YOU have no input into those decisions?

I fail to see how that is an improvement.
