There are literally dozens of drone models by the USA alone not counting the 70 other countries scrambling to follow the US lead.

The three laws of robotics are extinct.
The Three Laws of Robotics (often shortened to The Three Laws or Three Laws) are a set of rules devised by the science fiction author Isaac Asimov. The rules were introduced in his 1942 short story “Runaround”, although they had been foreshadowed in a few earlier stories.
    The Three Laws are:

1.A robot may not injure a human being or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm.
2.A robot must obey the orders given to it by human beings, except where such orders would conflict with the First Law.
3.A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Laws.

The next decade will show the degree to which this cartoon’s warning will be realized.

The really scary thing is that YOU can build your own drone. Yeah, the ones the government uses are pricier, but you can do a working radio-controlled aerial device that can carry a few pounds of payload quite easily. It’s going to be a scary future…

You must have seen that guy who spent $500 to make a drone for his dogs to chase around in the yard.

    Long time no see!
The cartoon seems to show autonomous drones of the future, that’s my story and I’m sticking to it.

Add to that the helicopter type models that can hover almost motionlessly and take very detailed photographs. Privacy is going to be in short supply…

This is because the GOP is willing to destroy everything in America rather than see the democrats get credit for fixing problems.

The 3 laws are useless if not used. The first completely autonomous robotic warrior is the delta flying wing X-47B that can be launched and landed on an aircraft carrier.

Also so far no robots are planned to have a self preservation reflex programmed into them.

I can imagine how a crazed bozo like Senator Mike Lee would use drones, or Sarah Palin, and John-busting-a-frontal-vein-McCain would have used drones!

Worry less about the powers of the Pres. and more (i,e. abject terror) of the faceless bureaucrats running the systems.
