Oh, you’re asking for it. I wonder how long it will be before the trolls show up to blame the President for EVERYTHING, completely excusing his predecessor and congress.

Just remember…“If ‘Pro’ and ‘Con’ are opposites, does that make ‘Congress’ the opposite of ‘Progress’?”

^ That’s right! Bush and the Republicans had nothing, nothing I say, to do with the explosion of the deficit.
    -
Everything they did was paid for.
    -
    They never invaded Iraq, either.

Oh, y’mean the trillions of unfinanced debt? The dismantlement of market controls that caused the financial crash? The thousands of dead and wounded?

You confuse an excuse with an explanation. Which is how you came to support attacking Iraq.

It’s amazing how stupid you guys can be.

Except for about a year during 1835-1836, the United States has continuously held a public debt since the US Constitution legally went into effect on 4 March 1789.

The only time the debt has actually decreased is between 1945 and 1949 to the tune of 8 billion dollars.

But while the debt is the score card the problem is the FACT that we PLAN on spending MORE than we take in every year. It is called deficit spending (which you all know) and just look at the last two presidents record.

OK you raised taxes. Now, take that new revenue total and make a budget that spends less than the revenue raised.

How can you do that if you will not stop spending?

The Iraqi people have been suffering more from the USA than from their dictator Saddam Hussein. A dictator the US helped into power!
