I’d like an elephant ear sandwich, if you’ve got any of those big buns left.

I am very thankful that we will have four more years without Republican mis-management. That’s something to celebrate!

But when the shrub lost the popular vote but won the electoral that was a BIG win for the Repukes. Funny, how you guys want it both ways. Or is both ways how you always go?

Some of us are in danger of getting too cocky. There is a lot to do to get the country back up, event to where it was in 2000. This election did no more than stop us from diving further under.

I hope this does not really mean the practical end of a viable and vigorous two-party system. Without this vital element in our politics, oligarchy would surely follow (or maybe we’re already there)…an’ dictatorship shortly after that…
’Eliminating the loyal opposition is a definitive step towards dictatorship.
LIberals have every right to celebrate their victories in the elections of 2012. The responsible, accountable and honorable conservative movement will not die, however.
The best way for our republic to be responsive to the collective needs of We, The People is for differing points and positions of government policy to be openly debated and allowing the voters to decide what path is their preference.
In terms of votes cast (forget the Electoral College for the moment) this was a close election, suggesting that for just about every vote to re-elect Obama, there was a corresponding vote for Romney-Ryan. This clearly means that nearly – very nearly – HALF of the electorate were voting for leadership other than the Obama Administration.

I agree. But to stay relevant – now and in the future – Republicans need to turn off the Fox and the Limbaugh. They have to start proposing rational solutions to real problems and stop with the deranged tirades against fabricated ‘scandals’. Or they’ll continue to lose henceforth.
