    Does anyone at all think there is something obscene about politicians trying to convince us that they care for the poor and needy while they spend all their money on getting themselves elected?

    I do, but then I also feel that way about the Catholic Church leadership.

    It’s not the White House occupier spending the money. The money comes from congress, and spending and tax bills start in the house. Obama’s term has been much better on the deficit than any Republican president’s (if you rely on the numbers, not conservative “gut feelings”).

    It is sad,that after a solid victory for the president, a decisive defeat for the GOP, the sorry politicians of the right still refuse to recognize the will of the people and help solve the issues at hand. There is no honor in the republican party.

    @walruscarver2000

    Obama won the most votes for President. The Democrats running for congress had more total votes than the Republican canidates. Gerrymandering lives on.
