Pink slime for the “masses”, at $86.50 per pound of flesh.

There is no budget cut unless you call it a cut from the Obama proposed budget. Ryan’s budget is still a budget increase from the previous budget. I’m disappointed that Wuerker would perpetuate the “budget cut” myth.

No, it’s not a true cut, just a huge redistribution of the wealth!
The Rich get richer, and the rest get screwed, which is the Republican way!

@masterskrain
By your logic, the Democrats would redistribute more wealth than the Republicans. Reality is that there is not as much wealth to redistribute as either party is proposing. How is borrowed money when you’re as deeply in debt as we are “wealth”?

When the richest in this country can pay half what the middle class does — and own most of the wealth of the country — a fairer tax rate would reduce the budget sharply. But currently the wealthy, especially the superrich, can buy the laws they like, as when Bain & Company (under Romney) pushed to enable laws that favored venture capitalists, who used other people’s money to buy and hack up and resell companies, and then took a “capital gains” tax break even though they risked nothing and invested nothing. Romney pays 13.5% on his income; the middle class pays 34% on theirs. Fix that, and suddenly a few more things become possible.
Not to mention corporate tax breaks — the GOP loves saying that we have one of the highest corporate tax rates in the world. But we also have one of the lowest ACTUAL CORPORATE TAXES PAID in the world. Big companies don’t actually pay those taxes. Once again, fix that even a bit would put far more money in the budget.
So do some research, okay?
