The pundits certainty is no match for a shifting reality.

Too many pundits don’t seem to stop and think before running their mouths.

A momentary glitch. Selling THE DREAM is their whole world. A brief confusion where Obama is everything they said Bush was in full smear mode is only a speed bump on the Road to Utopia with Saul Alinsky, starring Hope and Change. It’s not how many times you fall flat on your face. It’s how many times you get back up and keep on with the dream, after all. There are still plenty of suckers out there.

All the New York Times pundits agree that Obama must bomb Syria until the government is destroyed, like he did in Libya, which is a paradise now (at least for the Brits and Frogs who are picking up everything that’s not nailed down).

The old ran an article where independent experts examined the first chemical attack in Syria and said there was no conclusive evidence that the government did it. That site is gone, taken down by the UK government which desperately wants the US to destroy the Syrian government so it can pick up the pieces. The new and improved says it was irrefutably proven that the Syrian government carried out that first attack and all the others, and MUST be destroyed, and every pundit still working at a UK newspaper agrees with that assessment.

It is clear that chemical attacks have taken place in Syria. The West says that only the Syrian government has any access to chemical weapons, and so must be guilty. This happens to be a lie, there are many ways the anti-government forces could have gotten chemical weapons, and photos of chemical weapons found with the rebels. Russia calls this irrefutable proof that all the chemical attacks were by anti-government forces. Also a lie.

There is no way of knowing with any certainty who deployed the chemical weapons in Syria. But it is clear that, if the US goes in and destroys the Syrian government, it will be acting as al Qaeda’s air force. The western claim by every New York Times pundit that all the anti-government forces in Syria are striving to form a liberal, western-oriented, free, peaceful and democratic Syria is the most outrageous lie, but quite a few of those who comment here and on the New York Times website believe it.

is that Obama hooked up? the only way to get anything is to put a teleprompter in front of him, that might get a response.

Michael: yes the first Sarin attack did indeed appear to be from “hand delivered” weapons, like grenades. Later attacks were from rockets by all appearance, so probably, both sides are “involved”.

As to “punditry”. Just watched Kerry address the press with Lavrov. As soon as Kerry spoke Faux cut away to criticize, mildly, granted, but CNN stayed with the briefing to show Lavrov’s response. It may seem a “small thing”, but when “pundits” refuse to show BOTH sides, they’re puds, not pundits.

Meanwhile President Obama addresses real issues, the Republicans are trying to shut down our government to block the Affordable Care Act. They didn’t learn from their 40+ FAILURES to repeal the ACA, which benefits all Americans!

That’s a bit like saying that a fish fails to notice that there is water around it. The artist, in any case, is usually expressing views not available in the common language of the times, largely conservative ideas seen through a liberal filter because the use of conservative language is vigorously suppressed. An artist expresses human thoughts and feelings that have no clear language in the group in which they exist. The Truth will out, by any exit available. This is the basis for internal combustion, firearms and rocket science. Art is science, waiting at the pilgrim’s gate.

“the ACA, which benefits all Americans”
In theory. History indicates that good intentions seldom lead to favorable outcomes. If it does more harm than good, we will have to find a way to blame it on somebody other than Obama, which should be fun. But that’s a tale for another day.

I am so glad Keith Olbermann has retired. When I take over I will be able to talk Maddow into quitting, I think. I will have to crucify Rush in Times Square, but he was asking for it for years. But it would have been really hurtful to drive the nails through Keith’s hands and feet, so I’m grateful for small relives. I think the rest of the pundits will quit after they see the burning cross in NY. If not cutting of a limb might do the trick. Tyranny isn’t THAT hard to understand…

My voting rights are suppressed whenever an illegitimate vote by a fictional person, non-resident or multi-ballot voter is cast contrary to it. If you do not allow me to cast as many ballots as I wish, wherever and wherever I wish, then my right to vote is not equal to that of those not validated as legitimate voters. Try not to gut yourself with that argument. Always cut away from yourself. Safety is no accident.

Well that is a pickle! Imagine that. Where there are no reliable records or means of discerning the validity of cast ballots, there was no record of invalid ballots being cast as well! Because no evidence was gathered or available, no evidence was ever found. As humans, we have a great capacity for saying stupid things as though they were perfect examples of the perfection of our logic, because they really are. We aren’t very smart.
