We’re spending money on a nearly non-existant problem (right now) when it could be way more effective on rebuilding our roads, water & sewer systems and electrical grids. But hey, gotta keep the td-bags satisfied.

Sure work on the infra structure would make a whole lot more sense.
    .
But at least “they” approved a few jobs. Maybe approving the genuine work is next.

    My roads work fine.
I can drive to the work and see the illegal alien gangbangers in front of the liquor store every day.

Hey, you all wanted jobs, jobs, jobs! Well, here they are!! American workers putting up fences all along the Mexican border. Funny part is, some of these “American” workers are undocumented.

You’re quite right. I see lots of non-WASPs running around loose. The US would NEVER give a visa to anyone who wasn’t a WASP, so they all MUST be illegals.

And it’s so unfair. To get a license (driver’s business, etc., etc.), I have to prove I’m either a citizen or have a green card, but that’s only because I look like a WASP. Anyone who doesn’t look like a WASP can get a driver’s license with no ID and no test. They can get business licenses with no ID and no money down (or else, the police refuse to check non-WASP businesses for licenses). And, as a WASP, I had to prove my citizenship in my home state and town to vote, but I know they only check WASPs for ID when they register to vote. Then they use the fact that they know me, plus I have to sign, and they check my signature.

But I’m sure they give voter registrations to non-WASPs without any ID of any kind, and they never check their signatures, they just let them vote early and often.

In any case, we KNOW they gets everything wifout no ID of any kind, while us WASPs has to proves evathin for enathin. And them illeagles don’t no no gud Inglish like what us WASPS does.

What ever happened to the tens of billions of dollars allocated for “shovel ready” jobs to rebuild our infrastructure that was in the 2009 stimulus package? I seem to recall there were $28 billion allocated for highways alone.

And even worse is the fact that Chinese steel is being used to build the fence.

“….could start on the 3000 mile fence on the Northern border.”

There may be no fence in the new bill, but if you own property along the border, as in up to 100 air miles from the border, the only Fourth Amendment right you have left pertains to your dwelling.

awe will join N. Korea in having the most militarized wall. The Berlin wall came down. I don’t like our country sharing features with E Berlin and N. Korea.

Excellent cartoon Matt! Don’t expect the House Republicans to work to make America stronger, by fixing the infrastructure America’s economy depends upon.

We are rebuilding our infrastructure. We just put $100M into highways and bridges to the future, employing millions of Africans as props for educational news clips to pave the way for a Glorious People’s victory in 2014. The Federal gov. is only responsible for interstate highways and bridges. The states maintain most of the rest, then counties and municipalities or townships. What we really need is that one-way high-speed railway from climate science to climate change papistry proposed by Gore so long ago, and to which Obama has now turned his gattling sights. Popularity is infallibility, after all.

The “shovel-ready” jobs were the ones we buried in the last five years. Get ready for a few more when Obamacare and new restrictive energy policies get going this year.

“There were 6 to 12 bridges on the Baltimore and Capital Beltways that were rebuilt or widened under the “American Recovery and Re-investment Act,”

Keeping the money close to Rome?

No amount of fence will help. This is proven without a doubt by the fact that the majority of the illegal border crossings take place at the manned border crossings with fences along major international highways. In fact, if you don’t look at any other area, there really isn’t even a problem.
