    Killing people is fine, chemical weapons both spread and linger.
    .
    The lingering crosses the line, just like land mines.

    There are different “chemical weapons”. Nerve agents are extremely deadly, but break down quickly in the environment. Mustard agent from WW ONE is still occasionally discovered, and still quite “active”. Of course considering Rumsfeld was a key person providing chemical weapons to the Middle East dudes, who’s to blame?

    Assad = Saddam. Where was the outrage against Saddam and him using chemical weapons home-made by Chemical Ali?

    @Ms. Ima

    Saddam had used the chemicals he bought from Germany, Assad has not.

    Saddam, yes, got his chemical weapons from Germany, as well as his early “nuclear program”, his broker was Donald Rumsfeld.

    It’s not what you said. It’s how you said it. The obscenities are fine, but stop shouting. Use your inside voice.

    Mr. Ima said, “Where was the outrage against Saddam and him using chemical weapons…”

    Since he was using them on America’s enemies, America was all in favour of it.

    To paraphrase Shaw: We have established they are weapons of death, now we are only haggling over the technique.

    Watching them work up close and personal tends to bring perspective. Soldiers have less love of war and it’s activities, than chicken-hawks like Cheney.
