You do realize that the biggest loss of freedom in recent memory is George W. Bush’s so-called “Patriot” Act. Global warming and our response to it are just science.

Yes, yes, go sit right there on that ice floe and keep talking to yourself while the adults have a real discussion. KThxBye.

No, you certainly can’t, at least not if you’re going to be a conservative, and onguard is nothing if not conservative, a good operational definition of which is “having an easy acceptance of social inequality.” Actually, the only surprise was his mention of billions of years; I would have thought he was of the young earth persuasion, global warming denial usually going hand-in-hand with evolution denial nowadays.

Yes, Motive, I’ll have to join as well. I receive Science as a member of AAAS, which promotes science education at a variety of levels in schools and to Congress. Although they have to spoon feed it to one side of the Congress. The American Association for the Advancement of Science has almost too much information. I restarted the subscription to catch up on all the new science that I was missing at work. I liked a little article about CD47,a protein that blocks the immune system from destroying blood cells as they circulate. CD47 is made by a whole variety of cancer cells to evade the immune system. Mice with human tumor cells, breast, ovary, colon, bladder, brain, liver, and prostate were all destroyed when a CD47-blocking antibody was given to the mice. Irving Weissman of the Stanford University School of Medicine received a $20 million grant to proceed towards human safety testing for CD-47 antibody testing.

So smart, yet so dumb. No good science offered, yet you’ll blindly follow what you’re spoon fed? Both theories, evolution and climate, have no scientific basis except for the fudged numbers that get released. Why are all of the scientists in these areas coming out to debunk it?

Actually KNOW anything about science? Obviously not. Me, I AM a scientist, with a doctorate in my subject. I know plenty about scientific method and statistical analysis from my field. Your assertions, on the other hand, are completely from space.
If you deny evolution, you have essentially cut the legs out under ALL biology. Biology simply does not make sense without an evolutionary perspective.
Here’s what you need to know: Evolution is the best-supported scientific finding in the history of science. And AGW is rapidly becoming #2.
Anyone who can claim “fudged numbers” is simply talking nonsense, because YOU DON’T KNOW. Like I told onguard, just go sit quietly while the adults discuss things. OR LEARN THE FACTS.

We look stupid to other countries because the GOP politics don’t line up with reality. Now, if they could put a billionaire at the top and charge poor people for cleaning up the millions of tons of carbon in the atmosphere… then the GOP would listen. It’s all about politics and who gets the money.

“evolution is no longer a theory.”
    It is a fact.
