ANandy, if you hate the US so much, why not go elsewhere? Somalia seems to be going for a “government-free” approach…

    ANandy says:
The U.S. Government is the worst preditory (predatory) lender of all.

Again, and again, PLEASE, before you start using BIG words, steal a dictionary and have someone help you use it. Now please give us a reason for your statement, followed by facts. You do know what a fact is, do you not?

Innaney – do you know what a predatory lender is? How exactly is the gov’t like that?

StewZ – if you can’t afford to do that then you deserve to be gang raped by a rapacious company?!? They’re raising rates on money ALREADY borrowed. That’s not cool.

“Maybe one shouldn’t live on credit. You know, the whole live within your means thing.”

So, you frequently have $30,000 in your account for a car and $100,000 for a house?

But, then again, I guess one mistake means that you’re allowed to be abused for years and that profiteering is okay.

motive, $100,000 for a house? Where I live, that would buy the garage. We went looking and could only find a mobile home for that kind of money. Even these days.

    I’m not motive. :-)

As for the $100k figure, I was taking the average I saw the last time I actually looked at houses to buy (admittedly about 6-7 years ago). I don’t know what house prices are like today.

I have no idea what my house is worth now, but it was $165K seventeen years ago when we bought it, and at one point it was up to $400K. By now it’s probably $2.57…

Lots of lively posts here, I like charliekane’s”karma?” for brevity on the mean old usurer money lender.

Another typical ANandy performance. Someone (in this case Dred) takes the time to patiently explain several points to ANandy.

ANandy, as usual, ignores the lot and runs away.

Plenty of warning. Most provisions will not go into effect for one year.
