He has a better exit strategy for the ACA.
The key to managing conflict is deciding whether or not there is any personal risk to it.
You won’t find that in Sun Tzu!

Because unions are corporations that subsidize elections, of course. Half of politics is knowing which side of the bread is buttered. The other half is in getting it to land butter-side up in the election.

Unions are at an all-time low and you idiots think they run everything. They are the only thing that stands between corporate power and working people, and without them, the middle class would be gone completely. No problem for you, I’m sure you’re all rich.

How about bring them home and put them on our borders for protection?

good jobs program …… hahahahahahahahaha …sigh.

So bring them home, keep them in the military, transfer them all to the Corps of Engineers (or give that division oversight) and rebuild the infrastructure.

The money is already there for their pay. Arms and munition costs would drop so use THAT money for building supplies.

Oh yeah, hire the private contractors to train and assist JUST like you hire the private security guys now….same money just given to the american worker at home.

Losers? Just Blackhawk and those like them.

“Unions are at an all-time low and you idiots think they run everything.”
Unions have contributed $652.6M to political causes since 1989, nearly all of it to Democrats.
The Koch brothers have donated $18M in the same time, yet they are held up as examples of money corrupting the political process.
Whenever you have an argument, and determine that it is necessary to apply some incisive division to resolve a difficulty, make sure that the incisive logic does not apply to the idiot with whom you have the argument.
Always cut away, just in case something slips and you actually make a point.

It isn’t about their personal life. It is about how they dealt with others, hostile to their culture, invasive to their homes and destructive of their ways. While all of the people of those times have gone the way of all flesh and are forgotten, these are remembered for their fierce defense of their lives, their ways and their communities.
Better you should wonder that none of them are called “cavalry” or “long knife”, which is mostly because there is nothing especially noble or remarkable about the ways of uniform military grunts through history.

I like your direction of thought. However, you started out with "A Cree friend of mine is insulted………. really? Why? How does that improve the situation?

I shall counter with: "Love is long-suffering and kind. Love is not jealous, it does not brag, does not get “puffed up”, does not behave indecently, does not look for it’s own interests, does not become provoked. It does not keep account of the injury, It does not rejoice over unrighteousness but rejoices with the truth. It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails."

Insulted because someone sees honor in your actions, shows respect for your courage and wishes to identify with you, sees you as a prime example of good qualities?

    Yep….insulted…..

I believe that the unions think that they will be the parties in power when we socialize labor, and not the victims of it. Oh well… live and learn.

Well, I think that there is enough work for everyone. Our infrastructure is in BAD BAD shape.

Here is the pay scale for road construction. Look carefully.

    http://www.bls.gov/oes/current/oes472061.htm

So if the unions are against the rebuilding of our country let them do the piece work elsewhere. I LOVE unions… within limits. One MUST use common sense after all and Unions tend to not do that.

It would be the large corporations that would hate it. Cutting into profit and all.

But they do not seem to want to employ veterans – or anybody else for that matter – so screw ’em……..

If you start the work there will be plenty for all. How many bridges need rebuilding? Why even Obama recognizes the need ( but does not have the will to do anything).

The point must be that the shovel-ready jobs of maintaining roads and bridges in the stimulus package signed into law five years ago achieved only the effect of increasing the baseline for the budget by a substantial amount. And, since we are unable to arrive at a new budget, even with a Democrat in the Oval Office and Democrat control of both houses of Congress, we use base line budgeting to automatically inflate the Federal expenditures by a minimum of ten percent every year. New taxes are added, but none are ever eliminated, and your cost of living rises accordingly. And all the money spent went to nowhere and none of the infrastructure rebuilding that was given as a noble purpose for the spending was ever accomplished. That has to be the point, as it is the only relevant data available in this matter.
