    Sometimes you can’t mince words.

Sometimes, you can offer constructive advice on how to throw the ball, regardless of your gender.

Let’s face it Guv: there are lots of women out there that can bring a lot more heat than you or me.

Mythbusters. Turns out there is a slight difference in accuracy for untrained persons, favoring girls, and a slight difference favoring force over accuracy for boys. Practice evens out the differences, however.

If you look closely, you can see just how this society tells women that they’re inherently “less” than men. For example: If a girl acts more like a typical boy- wearing pants instead of dresses, being physical and rough-and-tumble- we call her a “tomboy” and say it’s “cute”. But if a boy acts more like a typical girl- wearing dresses instead of pants, and acting more emotional- then we think there’s something terribly wrong with him that needs to be corrected immediately.
The implicit lesson: It’s okay (and maybe even preferable) for a female to be more like a male, but absolutely unacceptable for a male to be more like a female.

I do not see homophobia. I do see the result of a paternalistic society. One which is populated by people who believe in a paternalistic deity who allegedly provides sexist rules to live by. There’s a reason why no one seems to feel the need to protect mens’ rights, while many men still feel comfortable saying women who are raped deserve it.

Bet he has a PhD from some university in political science. You can’t be that stupid naturally.

I see a 1950’s black and white cartoon using modern political correctness speech.

“Barack Obama throws like a girl.”

You might as well just say he has “cooties.” It’s every bit as childish as your post.

Properly taught girls can pitch well too. They certainly are getting the lion’s share of the Masters and PhDs right now.

I am male and I evinced no real interest in most sports. Pingpong and chess are my speed.

Re your reply to Wolf; “What element of the comic makes you think there is?”

I read Wolf’s comment as being a continuation of the cartoon’s theme into how a patriarchal (and misogynist) society perceives gender roles overall, not specifically just to the cartoon itself.

@DrC “the worst insult one can direct at a man is to infer he is feminine.”

I’ve read most of the comments on this thread and I do believe a fair number have missed this bloody point!

I think it’s an excellent satirical cartoon.

“It appears every topic is political these days”
It will only get worse as the government gets more and more involved in the personal affairs of the constituency. Birth control and homosexual behaviors are now a topic of national concern, as are random illnesses, school curricula, health insurance and whether or not you want to wear a seat belt or a helmet on the highways. It is part of the effort to win the moral high ground, as put forth by Sun Tzu in The Art of War. We are more fit to rule because we are morally superior and care about people. Those others hate you. They cannot be trusted. They will roast your children and feast on their flesh. Vote the straight Higher Morality ticket this year! You are one of us. You are loved. We only make things an issue because we care! We will raid and pillage and to you will go the spoils.

I guess we are going to need a law requiring that all cartoonists also be attorneys currently licensed to argue before the bar and appraised of all judicial rulings extant. It is as they say, “New Laws Fix All!”
