Today I learned that people are mostly harmless, but largely disconnected from objective reality. You would think they would have taught that in grammar school. Directly, I mean. Looking back, it was all an object lesson in that fact.

Well, Republicans and TEA Baggers figure since it all took place during a war started by a Republican president, then they weren’t “War Crimes”.
Now, if Obama gets us involved in Syria, well then, that’s TOTALLY different!

uh excuse me. Bush didn’t start the war. Maybe you are just a tad forgetful and don’t remember the twin towers falling. Seems to me that radical extremists from the mid east (various countries) planned and executed an act of war by ramming jumbo jets into two commercial buildings and one military target killing almost 3000 people.

Now you may be one the conspiracy guys that say the US did it to themselves to facilitate a reason to go to war to rectify the insult to Daddy Bush, You are entitled to that opinion.

Bush formed a “coalition of nations” (uh 46?) after numerous sanctions imposed by the UN the attacks began. From a legal standpoint, Bush crossd his “T’s” and dotted his “i’s” so what are his “war crimes”?

Heh, gender is “complex”. Ha ha ha. Oh how little you know who make the statement. Just on the physical level, you have people with XX chromosomes who express as men, and people with XY who expressed as female, physically. Then there are the XXY and XYY folks, XXY can make an equal claim to be genetically male or female, generally, like a friend of mine with the condition, they come up as sterile male. And that’s just the most common of the chomosome related conditions. What about functional hermaphrodites? What about late life forced sex change of the not fully expressed hermaphrodites? And that’s all barely the least scratch of the surface. If only it was as simple as “straight” and “gay”.

    It gets better.
My wife’s bone marrow transplant (from a male donor) changed her basic chromosomal makeup from XX to XY, making her genetically male but physically female. The only major change is that now she likes football, so there are advantages…

Bruce4671: What a selective memory you have! The 9/11 attack was by 17 Saudis (our friends), 2 Egyptians (our friends), and 1 Yemeni (our friend, at least at that time). Not an Iraqi, Afghan, or Syrian in the group.

You mean we didn’t invade Iraq but Saudi Arabia, ohh wait, Saudi arabia, I.E the country from which the attack originated, pilled in to dish out punishment to the bystandard

“well judge, I was in a fight. But then I realized the guy I was fighting with was a friend, so I pulled out a gun, shot the witnesses, he also joined in and shot the witnesses, therefor let us all accept this was done in self defense

But those were mere humans. I’m sure your group is of much higher quality, and not anything like humans at all. Keeping Fighting the Good Foo. I’ll make my way back home when I learn to fly. I’m sure you agree.

Perhaps you failed to notice that the reason we are talking about an attack on Syria is because they used chemical weapons. Now where would those have come from? Perhaps all those trucks that went to Syria from Iraq just before the invasion? Hmm….

Was Saddam responsible for 9-11? Probably not. Iraqi intelligence may or may not have met with Mohammed Atta before the attack. Frankly that doesn’t matter much to me. That Saddam was threatening to resume nuclear and chemical weapon production, that he was promising 25,000 dollars to the family of any suicide attacker who struck at Israeli or American citizens, That he was killing about 10,000 Iraqi’s a year… Killing his murderous kids and letting the Iraqis hang him was all in all a good thing. The planet is better off without him.

Or do you disagree and wish that he was still in power?

Genital mutulation and cosmetic surgery do not change one’s gender.

And hailing a cab does not make one a marathon runner. And taking a helicopter ride does not give one bragging rights for scaling El Capitan. And pureed bologna is not pate. It’s about their psychological comfort. You can only imagine how successful they are in attaining real happiness by self-mutilation and hormone adjustments. People are weird. You just have to get used to that. Forcing them to be normal is as useless as gender reassignment, or worse because it is an imposition of will upon another.

Well, according to the numbers, not very happy apparently as transgenders have a very high suicide rate…

Considering how they are treated in our culture you can understand why. I’ve got no problem with them, why do so many others do?

For a transgender person they are moving toward normal not into abnormal.
