Sit down, twl. You don’t know the meaning of “United.”

Better have another look at who’s the tyrant and the oppressor.
-823 U.S. military bases around the planet; 2.5 million U.S. military personnel serving on foreign soil; four wars going on (mostly unfunded); somewhere between 225,000 and 258,000 dead as the result of the wars; around 6,100 U.S. soldiers killed; multitudes more people injured, maimed, and dying from malnutrition or lack of treatment; estimated 7.8 million refugees.
    - Total cost of the two wars set to exceed $4 trillion; U.S. health, education, research, and infrastructure in decline.
    - And what’s to show? Mostly the world being a more dangerous place with Iran the main benefactor of a weakened Iraq.
Yes, you’d better have another look at just what is right.

Obama is considering reducing the number of troops in Iraq to 30,000 (the Iraqis have to permit us to stay beyond December, first). If he does reduce their number or withdraws them altogether, the Reslugs will sqeal like stuck pigs.

How sad that that’s what it took for us to stand united for even such a little while.

I agree, Chuklitl. For a few of those awful days after the tragedy, we were a united nation. What happened?

@twl: You used quotation marks. Either attribute the quote or admit that you are making stuff up again.

ERYX: I hear Oblama is thinking of withdrawing all but 3000 troops. If this is true he is (a) disregarding the opinions all all his generals on the ground (b) doing it purely for political reasons to appease the fringe left like you and © snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. Just like the wacky left wants.

    America Hater? No.
    American foreign policy critic? Yes.
Which of my statements would you consider B.S., and how so? Or are you just having difficulty with facts?

Interesting how many folks, from so many countries, who say: “We like Americans- we just don’t like their government.” This became especially true under “W” and Cheney- with their merry band of – well- I’d be censored.

As wrong as “W” was on so many issues, he still had “America” behind him through “tough times” as hard as he tried to turn them away. Now, we have Teapublicans who definitely hate this country, trying to RUN it, the “government” they HATE! What is wrong with this picture? What is wrong that they hate the Constitution, like; “To promote the general welfare”? That phrase is there specifically because the “founding fathers” KNEW personally the abusive nature of the crown, or merely plutocrats only out for their self-interest. Even these SLAVE OWNERS, who considered “men” to be landowners and well, white, recognized a higher ideal, for themselves and the nation. The saw, and looked to, a future, not the past.

Today, the “middle class” is shrinking, while the wealthy may be declining in numbers, the remainder are only INCREASING their personal wealth, and folks from that “middle class” and lower educational class apparently, want to be “teapublicans” and assist them with their goal.

We DO all need to pull together, not apart, why do so many very vocal, but actually few in number, “Americans” want to divide the nation, and foment hate?

How many see themselves as BECOMING those landed slave owners, and not the slaves? Maybe they should review real history, and think about it, and look to their neighbors as not their enemies, but their allies?

The spirit of contention has US in its grip. There are few positive statements out there: AP, August- “Agreement broke out along Pennsylvania Ave. this evening as President Barack Obama accepted Majority Leader John Boehner’s invitation to address a joint session of the Congress on Sept. 8”

So you do not discuss US foreign policy with foreigners. Yeah, that makes sense.
Actually I haven’t seen you discuss anything intelligently with anyone.
