Marmaduke is America's most lovable Great Dane. Created by Brad Anderson, the classic comic canine has delighted newspaper readers since 1954. Marmaduke lives with the Winslow family, who, try as they might, just can't seem to get him to obey. Despite his antics, the playful pooch is top dog in the neighborhood and on the comics page, where he has endeared himself to readers in more than 20 countries. The daily panel also strikes a chord with pet owners, many of whom write to Anderson to comment on Marmaduke as if he were a real dog.

@Number Three
you have been watching way too many Little Caesers commercials Half Pint!!..lol…I love me some Marmaduke but there is a British dog that I adore as well…I have owned 2 Basset’s in my life and they were and are the best dogs for lovin’ you have ever seen…been owned by a Great Dane once also, and while they are special critters, they think they are lap dogs, and yet their laps are bigger than mine! Roscoe lived and loved with me for 17 years and I still miss him…

Actually Pizza Pizza is the most popular chain in Ontario. ALthough since I discovered Fresh Slice (40% fewer calories and 30% fat) I almost never go there. Number Three is likely from Southern or eastern Ontario.
