Kids spend years embracing the delusion that, once they’re finally free from school, they’ll be free, Free, FREE to do whatever they want. That no one will ever again be able to tell them they ‘must’ do this or that. They’ll all get apartments and cars, and become famous for something or other. -———————————-Even if we had a time machine, and could go back to warn our younger selves that it isn’t so, and that the dreamed of freedom doesn’t come, those selves still wouldn’t believe it. We know everything when we’re kids.
