   until it becomes the Subaru commercial with the dad and his daughter. then. it becomes nostalgia. remembering when she dragged that blanket everywhere. or, why she needs the nightlight on. or, the bath toys that have to be there. or, the stuffed animal that she sleeps with. or, why she has to watch toy story everyday. and, then, when sarah mclachlan song when she loved me comes on, you start crying. or, that all her sandwiches have to be cut diagonally.

   I liked the VW commercial a while back, showing a young couple ‘hitting the road" in a VW van . . . as they go down the road, they morph from teenagers to young marrieds to parents, the van changing all the while, ending with their three daughters in the back seat asking ’are we there yet?" and the family dog adding its voice to the chorus . . . the look on the couple’s faces!
