Yeah, I wonder about the mother here. He is obsessing over girls and seems afraid of them. This may point to not having a close relationship with his mother. And here he’s talking about the mother with a stick. A man needs a close, loving relationship with his mother or he could be doomed to finding a shrew for a wife. People tend to use the word “love” rather loosely in regards to children. They say they will beat them because they love them or whatever. You would never say that about a dog or a horse though. The animal rights people would straighten you out on that. They say there is no such thing as a bad dog, just one that hasn’t been trained correctly. About humans…? Well, humans are worse than dogs is the logical conclusion.
