MAC’s tinkering habit got slightly out of control. He was a handyman to neighbors and friends, one thing led to another and now he’s a (self-described), land baron. More a corporal than a captain of industry, he believes he’s in charge of his own destiny. His wife, daughter, dog, tenants, and practically everyone else in the world has a different, and occasionally sympathetic understanding of his foibles. Follow him as he copes with a disparate collection of daily challenges with droll aplomb.

Okay…I think the spousal abuse arc has run it’s course.
Let’s see if you can run a few strips about Mac beating his old lady. Bet that wouldn’t fly. So why is it supposed to be funny if a female is beating a male? Sexism?

I am with you on that! Boy, if you reverse the situation, women get out of hand! JEEZ!

Boy. At least Andy Capp has fun at the pub first.

Well, Mac was out with his buddy on Wednesday night, hopefully having fun.

Yeah, I’m tired of the meanness and violence. She’s nasty.

I agree with all previous comments… reverse the roles and we’ve got trouble

What’s she got on her head? It looks like she’s bald and put a piece of legal size paper on it and taped it around her ear level to keep the paper down. Oh, and yeh, the abuse isn’t even mildly amusing.

Well, this was my last viewing of this strip. Its just not funny.
Why is it suppose to be funny if a woman hits a man with a rolling pin? Is it going to be funny if he hits her with a baseball bat?

Oh yeah, I forgot about that. All that’s missing is the rugby. Hic!

you really have to scrub hard to get that pesky brain residue out of the rolling pin
but the way she is stroking it , with that satisfied, quasi-sexual look on her face might mean there is a little more to her psychosis than just violence

I’m sorry to read that you’re packing it in. As I said in a previous post, I tried an experiment with a story line continuing each day. Monday’s edition will be back to a more traditional posting.

Have you seen today’s Andy Capp? He must have had some serious fun last night!

@Dragoncat
Today I learned:
1 – Andy Capp is still in publication
2 – Andy Capp didn’t quit drinking. I could have sworn he did. Maybe he quit smoking?
3 – Andy Capp still parties harder than I do.

Oh no. I just realized Andy Capp isn’t an old guy any more.
