There might be a modicum of truth to that – If we didn’t eat cows, and only used them for milk, the cost of keeping a large herd would make the price of milk skyrocket. It would therefore be necessary to pare down the size of the herd, releasing domesticated bovines into the wild, where they would be fair game for wolves, coyotes, pumas, and pure and simple starvation.

Milk is already price supported so the price of milk is skewed anyway. Time to remove them. Then we will have the real price of milk.
