My high-school algebra teacher built his own home by hand, and I know one other person who did so. Quite an accomplishment, if I do say so myself.

I mean, knowing two people who built their own homes. How many people can say that?

Ahh, the good ol’ days….
I’ve always wondered how people built their own houses – my grandfather did. And they were built better than most cheapy, pre-formed junk today.

That is indeed rare in these times. Houses still can be built well but you have to know who to go to to do it.

Me,My Dad,brother & Sister built our house. Then the repo man took the Motor Home we’d been living in.Didn’t really miss that 38’ Landau that much either because the bathroom/shower was so small & privacy was a fantasy that didn’t exist, unless you went outside.
