Puddles and Frank both like to watch that educational health show that used to air…. hosted by Slam No-body….

If someone says to another: “Lets get in shape”, are they just “wasting their breath”? One can remind them that they already are . After all, round is a shape…….

Does it also mean that if you eat something that’s “fat free” that you “have no taste”?

I think that’s the first time Puddles has lived up to his name in years, in that bottom panel.

Growing up in the 70s, we had “educational programs” like this one , “Mulligan Stew”, this one , “The Inside Story With Slim Goodbody”, and a few other shows…..

    Good times, good times….

“humans aren’t carnivores despite their delusions.”

Of course not. From a purely biological perspective, we are omnivores, eating both vegetable matter and meat.

Our teeth are a hybrid of carnivore and herbivore. Our intestines are longer than carnivores and shorter than herbivores.

The term “generalist” is appropriate for humans.

I’ve often wondered how good the slop put in dog and cat food is for them. In the wild, dogs and cats eat a minimal amount of vegetable matter, sustaining themselves mostly on animal matter. When a veterinarian says with a straight face that a high phosphorus diet is bad for cats, it’s hard not to laugh. Cat diet in the wild and feral cats in our cities is predominantly rodents and they are loaded with phosphorus.
    .
So why are most pet foods mostly vegetable matter?

I would care about my diet and weight and visit the doctor If, said doctor could guarantee absolutely, that I would live forever. They can’t so I’ll eat as I please, drink as I please until I die… when I die, I die. Over, finis, ’do not resuscitate… and SCREW… The HEALTH CARE / HEALTH FOOD INDUSTRY.

Hey- maybe for some days, it may seem like it for ol’ Frank. Especially if the line in the Men’s room at work was a little too long in the day…

Puddles is all dog, and very discriminating.
    Frank likes ice cream bars.
How much do they have in common? Maybe not too much….
