    Perspective. Perception. Point Of View.

Looks like Delta is far more mature in her thinking than Bernice is. But then, Delta has other plans that don’t include finding a guy to be awkward with. As she said, there’s plenty of time for romance, especially with the more mature guys in college… ;)

Is What Noble? Am I missing something? Considering the time, I wouldn’t be surprised! ;)

Delta’s an odd one. Not your typical teenager. I hope she has time for fun once she hits college.

And because she has the right attitude, she will probably succeed as she grows into adulthood. I’m guessing that by the time she gets in her junior year in college at Howard University (or it might be “College”), she’ll have a lot of guys interested in her… ;)

Missing out on a prom isn’t a big deal. I never went to any of mine. Never had anyone to go with.

Oh, sorry!… was playing on Delta’s position, as in Bernice’s estimation of it, as though she was being “noble” by deferring these things until later on…… vs. Bernice’s view of it being a “stone cold gas” to attend prom….

BTW, I would tend to agree with you….

“Here we are 24 years later and no regrets about missing prom.” That’s really great that you found the right woman…can you believe your 25th is just around the corner? The dancing you’ll do then and the dancing you did at your wedding far outweighs any prom! ;)

I didn’t go to my Senior Prom. My date broke up with me a week before the prom, and instead of taking someone else, I thought, “What’s the point? I’ll be out of this town for good in another month anyway!” So I didn’t go.

And I did get out of there. No regrets.

I also did not attend prom.. however, I found that whatever people did at prom was no different than what one could do at any other gathering… the only difference was that you had to do everything in “dress clothes” at prom, vs. what one may do “naturally”, in a less formal setting….

Plus, like Delta said, there are times when one may appreciate certain things a little better, later on…

Plus, the two words together make up a section of the Table of Elements, the “Noble Gases”!…
