Brad, give it a second thought. Don’t be hasty!

TJ isn’t a shyster anymore. If TJ agrees to pay for all the necessary parts. Then this could be a good investment for Brad. However, I’d want that partnership agreement in writing and notarized! ;-)

Well, Brad, consider some work on TJ’s truck to be part giving back to TJ for all the years of gourmet cooking he’s done for you.

Brad should make it clear that his 50% investment in this venture would be the labor in getting the truck repaired.

Judging by the huge oil spill under the front in yesterday’s last panel, perhaps a more appropriate name would be Cafe Valdiz.
    ^
And then the food would be “oily’ and ’greasy”…

    Which reminds me…

    Brought to you, by…..

    Grease… it’s the word…
    And by…. Valdez Motors….
And by…. Bubba Dumb Shrimp…. now coming AFTER you to serve you with their new mobile food service….
    and coming soon… frozen foods….

Some thought that TJ would be doing it aaaalll his own…. but to “paraphrase” a line from the song “Godzilla”…
“History shows again and again how the strip points out the folly of TJ, man……”
    -
Or you could use “Cars” songs, like… “Moving in Stereo”, “Dangerous Type”, or from their lesser known demos: “They Won’t See You”, "Wake Me Up’….

What did the captain of the Exxon Valdez say when his ship ran aground?
“I said I wanted a TANQUERAY on the rocks!”

I agree on spending @ 5,000 (approximately) on
a better vehicle. Take that money you’re going to
spend on repairs and put it in a better vehicle.
Will be cheaper in the long run.
But thats only the engine. You got a whole lot more
to spend on the inside. It’s a restaurant: portable
yes, but still a restaurant. Equipment, steam and
cold tables,. plumbing, drains, appliances, grills,.fryers, ovens….mmm mmm
mmmmh. W-o-r-k magnified. I wish TJ would
start something easier. This is hard. Even for T.J.

Stick to your position, Brad! You most definitely do not want to blow your wedding fund on TJ’s lame scheme….

    @PMark

Maybe this will be part of the gripping storylines that still hopefully lead up to a wedding… maybe Brad will ultimately have to choose between the love of his life, and his best friend…

Maybe Brad would accuse her of a shade of controlling, and she would keep trying to stress that ultimately, TJ could jeopardize certain aspects of their viability (mostly financial, maybe more…), which could make for the possible conflict/drama where we would keep saying… “Will they make it?”
