   From small beginnings, great things grow. It was 28 years ago today that a young, innocent 13 year old girl appeared and captured our hearts. For almost three decades we have shared her life. There were times I was infuriated with her, and other times she had me rolling on the floor with laughter. I think more than anything else, Luann has inspired me. Failure is not in her vocabulary. She loved Aaron Hill and for years tried to gain his attention. She finally succeeded. She wanted to learn to drive. It was not easy and it took three attempts, but she got her license. Barriers always sprang up in front of her. She faced them and she won. The greater the adversity in front of her, the greater her determination to reach her goal.
   

   
   Mr. Evans, thank you sir for sharing this wonderful creation of yours with us. I have grown to love Luann and crew. I even like the “bad guys”, though I am always complaining about them. It has been 28 great years. I look forward to the next 28.

   Luann. ask your pal Tiff for a makeover. She could make that look real instead of only a dream. She would be more than happy to do it because she loves you so much.

    Actually in the latter part of April 1999, Tiffany did encourage Luann to improve her look. That is about the time Luann lost the big curls in her hair. In one of the strips during that time Aaron even mistook Luann for Tiffany.

    @TOTBC….IMHO, it does look like she may have tried the breast-enlargement cream…..lol but that topic was not openly mentioned….seeing as this is a family-oriented cartoon.

    Holy Crap Luann!!! I’ve got a 32" HD monitor on this particular computer and when today’s strip came up, I just about jumped out of my chair…!

    Good thing we weren’t upstairs in bed and opened the strip on the 60" smart TV with web access – I’d probably be having mega – nightmares… Should have done this one on Halloween when we’re expecting something like that.
