    I would guess she has a data plan and is on Skype, rather than a phone call as such. I live in Japan, and people Skype all over the world with their smart phones.

    Also, Re:Christmas Discussion from last night.

    It doesn’t actually matter what Jesus’s birthday is anymore. What matters is the charitable works that get done in His name every December. Besides, He runs the universe. If His birthday is celebrated on December 25th, it’s cause He wants it that way. Else He would’ve given somebody a Divine Revelation to fix it by now.
