    Does anyone else react as to how “science-fictiony” this whole scenario would have seemed only a very short while ago?
    I mean, not only is Luann videophoning to the other side of the planet, but she isn’t even plugged in! And she is using a display thinner than anything we saw on Star Trek, about as thin as those on 2001: A Space Odyssey.
    And even I was talking with a dear friend this way last weekend in a very sweet and private discussion conducted from opposite sides of the planet.

    Morning all…am I remembering correctly that Luann sent off a rather romantic letter to Quill pretty much stating her feelings? It takes some time for mail to make it Down Under so I understand that he is only now responding. Maybe he will come back. Why else start up.

    Are we really, really sure Quill is in Australia at this very moment? Or might he be back in the States, ready to START almost at once?—Whatever the case, this does look like a moment full of promise for a grown-up relationship for Luann!
