    Seems like Delta doesn’t have much respect for men or relationships.

    Delta’s right about that – not a lot of love when you’re president – regardless of party…………………

    To have loved and lost is better than not to have loved at all.

    the way i see it Delta has her priorities set like we used to think was proper for a man… truly what is right for a man can also be right for a woman… if that is what they wish for… justly so if a man wished to get married young and stay at home becoming a househusband this should also be excepted

    @drewder

    “Seems”? As I said, a part of Delta is emerging which I don’t like at all. In her own way, she’s becoming as maladjusted as her friends… even Tiffany.

    So much for her remaining the ruler of sanity by which the others are measured… and just after I came out in support of her in that role, too. So go ahead and make me a liar, Greg!

    Since when is having such an attitude about relationships appropriate for anyone, male or female?

    And yet James Buchanan never married before, during nor after his time in the Oval Office. Same thing with W.L. Mackenzie King before, during and after his three non-consecutive terms prime ministering Canada.

    I’ll disagree Brdshtt (nice moniker btw) -the love of a spouse can act as a tempering agent as well as a buffer against the world. And her intent to run and be president at a young age doesn’t really project the image of someone who has actually LIVED life and learned from it -there is a REASON why these kids recently graduated from high school don’t often end up in positions of leadership at the top. It takes a LOT more than a Type A personality to become wise and well-rounded.

    Really Tony? how sad for you if that is all you took from marriage. I’m quite happy with mine, have been for years. My wife and I complement each other nicely.

    Many rumors have it that James Buchanan was gay. His supposed boyfriend was future vice president William R. King, who only lasted as 6 weeks as vice president before he died in 1853.
    I live about 25 miles from Buchanan’s home, which is in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Wheatland, his mansion, is well worth the tour.

    Okay, you have to be 35 to be President, puts her at 43 if she goes 2 terms. She must not plan to have any kids.

    I don’t remember it ever being that way. Maybe in the Victorian age when a 40 y/o who’s ‘made’ something of himself would ask a father for his daughter’s hand, but that was just to full fill an obligation of having heirs.

    Ever notice that when a woman says they are not interested in dating, they are married within a year…?

    No, Delta’s afflicted with that mentality some have where they can only see one goal at a time. They push head down nose to the ‘grind stone’ so to say 100% on that one goal; until, in their peripheral vision, they glimpse something slipping by them and they realize they need to make a change. Yet, low and behold, they do it again 100% on this NEW goal. Some times, a lot of times, it ends with fumbling everything and reaching nothing…
