Luann, I didn’t know you had it in you……….

Tiff looks pretty dejected/deflated in that last panel.

Poor Tiff. I think she’s trying to convince herself. This is one instance where I think Simon Cowell would be very helpful

I wonder what they said about Zeye on the Rotten Tomatoes website.

That’s okay Tiffany, 20 years from now Zeye will become a cult classic and then you will be famous. As long as they restore your 8 seconds.

Sometimes you really try to like someone like Tiff, but often they just end up being very trying. Someone yesterday (Ottodesu?) asked if all girls named Tiffany are unusually self centered. I’ll back him up on that, even to the exter that their fathers often call them Princess as well. I blame the parents for raising little empresses.
Note: not all Tiffanys are spoilt, but there is a website called “girlsnamedTiffani dot com”.

Tiffany: “Zeye flopped ’cuz they cut my scenes”

Memorable quote from the movie “Christine”: “You can’t polish a turd.”

A person could be nice to Tiffany but…she would never notice. She’s bent on having an extended ‘pity party’ so one should just stand back and let her. Luann is a little snotty here but who could blame her. Perhaps she should just ‘overkill’ her expressions of sympathy until Tiffany gives up .

This is just Evans trying to retcon the fact that Tiffany already did all kinds of grunt work to get her part whereas Luann believes she’s entitled to fame and Juliard because she wants it. It’s sloppy.

Her expressions of sympathy? She’ll just try to get Quill’s address.

Luann makes a good point by accident. Drama and acting is about playing a part – looking and acting like someone else. In other words you need to be good at being 100% fake. Also an aspiring actress needs to make the best of all her assets – skill, traing, natural ability and looks. She needs to be able to present herself. Tiff is unlikely to learn anything from anyone, but Luann would benefit by climbing down from her high horse and learning a couple of things from Tiffany.

Why Dustin Hoffman won Best Actor oscar in “Rainman” in 1989, and should have won it for “Midnight Cowboy”, if not for “The Duke” winning it for "True Grit in 1970.
Hoffman was so good in playing a character, that his character became a totally believable person.

Luann is indeed being very catty—which is to say, insecure and teenaged—here, but then there really is no reason to like Tiffany….
