LUANN is about the trials of becoming a young adult: the hilarity and drama, triumphs and flops, friendships and rivalries. Rich in character and intriguing "what'll happen next?!" stories, LUANN is a compelling saga of life's most volatile stage. Greg Evans was voted Outstanding Cartoonist of the Year in 2003 by the National Cartoonists Society.

… I had held out hope until now. I hoped he was pulling everyone’s chain because most would assume he was sending off Quill. I still have a shred of hope that he’ll have Quill stick around by other means, but after the quote someone posted yesterday from Greg about not liking long term relationships and ‘ditto Quill’, I know that’s the smallest of possibilities… and very unlikely.

Yeah. My interest in this strip just dropped to zero. I can just re-read the old strips and they’ll be the same. I had hopes for Brad and Toni, but those appear to have been dashed. Then for Gunth and Rosa, but those went belly up…Apparently, this is the cartoon version of Groundhog Day, except none of the characters realize that it’s the same day over and over again.

It is amazing how people complain about their interest for a comic has dwindled to zero, and keep returning to it every day.

So true…what you really regret in life are the things you didn’t do.

The artist with the pen (or digital device) determines when the restriction is lifted……………………..

This is it! Luann is moving to Australia to go to college.

I think Quill was getting wishy-washy with his non-committal attitude all the time. Luann needs a more outgoing type as she is outgoing herself. I also don’t think Gunth and Rosa were matched well.Again, the two were polar opposites in character. Even Luann had more in common with Gunther than she does with Quill.

@peterhuppertz – I had hopes that I might be wrong that perhaps Mr. Evans was going to pull some sort of twist, but…Nope.

Don’t count them out JUST YET. Stranger things have happened.

Please, enough with the Gunther talk.. He is not right for Luann. Not ever.

I think I’ll leave this comic for a while. Boycott is a valid form of protest.

Now, now, let’s not get hysterical.

Greg is “uncertain” of how to handle a long term relation for Luann, and thinks he has no talent to do that……the funny things are…………….. he does a great job with her parents, and with Brad and Toni, he CAN DO IT with Q and L, specially when he has established a great barter between them when they talk, which SHOULD NOT BE HINDERED because they are a couple…………. I guess eventually when Greg “sees” that the only alternative for Brad and Toni is to be “engaged”, he will make something happen that will break them up……… and eventually he will make Rosa disappear again, thus ending Gunther’s potential love interest………. and he will have poor Knute and Crystal with an eternal “should we be, or should we not be?”

Kinda done with all these story lines that have crappy endings…..This is really a bummer.
